All roles are
open for 7 years old to adult (casting will be age appropriate).
Character list included below. Those auditioning should bring sheet
music and be prepared to sing 16 measures (or approximately one
minute); an accompanist will be provided. Vocal appointments will
take place from 6:30-7:30 and 8:30-9:30 each evening.
In addition to
the vocal appointment, auditioners are also asked to attend the
group dance audition from 7:30 to 8:30 on their audition day. Dress
prepared to move.
If possible,
please also bring a resume and headshot/recent photo.
Rehearsals will
take place at Carlton Oaks School in Santee beginning in early
January, Mondays through Thursdays 6:30-9:30 PM and Saturdays 9:00
AM-2:00 PM. Performances will take place at the Moxie Theatre, March
9-11 and 16-18. Bye Bye Birdie will be directed by Frank
Remiatte with musical direction by Kirk Valles and choreography by
Alisa Williams. Produced by Teri Brown.
